Amazing Socotra

Socotra (or Soqotra) is made up of four islands in the Indian Ocean and the largest island happens to be called Socotra as well. A third of its plant life is found nowhere else on the planet, and it can be unusual as you can see.

It seems the plants have adapted to dry, hot conditions. This is probably not a place we will ever visit, but the photos give us an insight into the marvels of the clever design in plant life.
